TranslateOur modern and cosy 2 room apartment (60sqm), on the 4th floor is situated in the charming district Friedrichshain in the heart of Berlin. The flat has got a beautiful view over Friedrichshain and Blankensteinpark.
We put a lot energy inside and mixed the interior with original Danish Design furniture from the 50's. We can offer accommodation for up to 4 travelers. There is a bedroom with a Queen-size bed, and in the living room we have a comfortable Queen size sleeper sofa. There is also a new, modern and fully equipped kitchen with a big refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing mashine, an electric oven and an induction cooker. We build this kitchen ourselves with lots of blood, sweats and tears and now it's a wonderful place to cook. The bathroom was renovated completely new, with a big bathtub for chilling moments. So, we have a small balcony enclosed to the living room, from which you have a beautiful panorama view on Friedrichshain and especially over the whole Blankensteinpark. For your Entertainment you will find a modern TV-set, DVD-Player, lots of DVDs and an almost internet-connection to have a look whats going on in Berlin.
Our neighborhood is a lively mixture of old and new architecture, lovely shops with small Berlin labels, bars, cafes, restaurants, cinemas and looooots of intersting cultural places. Just down the road (15min. walk) is a place called EastSide Gallery. There you can see parts of the old 'Berlin Wall' (Berlin Wall) right next to the river 'Spree' and the famous stonebridge 'Oberbaumbrücke' (built 1894) which was the border crossing between East and West, the former German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The district Friedrichshain also has a huge park (Volkspark Friedrichshain), which you can reach in 10min. by foot and even quicker by taking the tram. There you can find a hospital, an outdoor-cinema, a restaurant and a lot of people relaxing on the grass, jogging, roller skating or just taking a walk. Very popular on saturdays and sundays are the farmer's market and flea market at the 'Boxhagener Platz', which is very close by. There you can find lots of beautiful things and great food.
