There is a spare set of towels and bed linen so that you can change and wash your bed sheets. LATE CHECK IN FEEIf the check in takes place after 8 p.m. we charge an extra late check in fee of 20 EUR. For check ins taking place after midnight the fee increases to 60 EUR. This fee is due in cash upon check in.CITY TAXAll private Berlin visitors have to pay the so called City Tax for the first 21 days of their stay. This 5% tax has to be paid on top of the price you pay online. CLEANINGTwo cleanings per months are included in the rental price, this means that every other week a cleaning lady will come by to clean the bathroom and kitchen area and clean all the floors.APARTMENTQuiet apartment in period house, right in the heart of the Prenzlauer Berg.The flat is located in the rear building of a typical "Berliner Altbau" built in 1910. It still has an old restored door, stucco, and high ceilings.In the living/sleeping room there is a 160x200 bed, couch and wardrobe.There is wireless internet connection that you can use with your own computer. (We have had to remove the laptop that you can still see in the pictures.) The apartment does not have a TV.The kitchen is simple but functional. The popular Kollwitzplatz and Helmholzplatz are only a leisurely 10-20 min stroll away, same as the Kulturbrauerei, an old brewery with shops, nightlife and a free museum about life in the DDR. Not far from there are the Berlin wall walk and Berlin wall memorial. If you are in Berlin on a Sunday, don't miss the nearby Mauerpark with its large flea market and renowned outdoor karaoke. A must see, especially on a sunny day!Not too far from the apartment is “Volkspark Friedrichshain”. This large and popular park, with a fairytale fountain, film showings and beer gardens, is a nice place for hanging out in the summer. For those who prefer a more active holiday it offers facilities for jogging, beach volleyball, bouldering and tennis!Excellent public transport connections take you into Mitte in about 15 minutes, where you can visit main Berlin attractions such as the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) or Hackescher Markt.From there you can walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie.
